Urs Breitenstein serves Hoffmann & Partner’s clients requiring assistance with corporate transactions, financing or valuation expertise. Due to his industry expertise in the life science sector he works for biotech companies as part-time CFO, board member or financial advisor to support these companies in their financing rounds, partnering strategies & trade sales.
Urs previously served for ten years as a partner and team leader at two international professional service companies (Big4) providing valuation, corporate finance and M&A services.
He has gained in-depth experience of corporate transactions and also of valuations for M&A, tax-, litigation and accounting purposes while he supported many life science- but also manufacturing and service sector transactions in Switzerland and in Europe.
As a valuation and transaction expert he is a member of the pool of experts of the SIX Exchange Regulation.
He is a graduate of the postgraduate study centre of the Swiss National Bank at Gerzensee and holds a doctorate in economics & finance from the University of Basel.
